Research direction:

Engaged in the theory and method of moral philosophy and major practical issues in the field of morality, involving bioethics, environmental ethics, institutional ethics, economic ethics, the comparison of Chinese and Western ethics, etc.

Learning experience:

 

From 1983 to 1993, he studied in the Department of Philosophy, Jilin University. He got bachelor's degree and master's degree to doctor's degree in succession. His thesis and master's thesis were published in Jianghuai Forum (1989) and Journal of Jilin University (1991). He received his Ph.D. degree in August 1993.

From 2003 to 2004, he studied English for half a year in Shanghai International Studies University's Public Training Center for Overseas Study. From 2005 to 2006, he was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council to visit Oxford University for one year.

 

 

Working experience:

 

Beginning in October 2015, he was a second-level professor of Beijing Normal University, a doctoral tutor in ethics, and a researcher in the Center for Value and Culture Studies.

From 2009 to 2015, he was chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Science of Southeast University. He was a second-level professor of Southeast University in 2012. He was appointed Distinguished Professor of Southeast University in 2013.

He was a professor in 2000 and a doctoral supervisor in 2002. He served as Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Humanities College of Southeast University.

From 1996 to 2015, he worked in the Humanities College of Southeast University.

He worked in the Department of Philosophy, Nanjing University from 1994 to 1996 and was an associate professor in 1995.

 

 

Part-time social work:

 

He is also a member of the National Ethics Society, a part-time researcher at the Applied Ethics Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and an invited researcher at the Applied Ethics Research Center of Central South University. He also served as Vice President of the First Chinese Youth Ethics Society (2010-2014) and Member of the First National Youth Federation for Social Sciences  (2007-2012).

 

 

Honors and Awards:

In 2015, he won the third prize of the 7th Excellent Achievement Paper Award of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education ("Problem Domain Restoration of Chinese Bioethics").

In May 2012, he was awarded the first "Top Ten Outstanding Young Ethicians in China".

In May 2007, he was selected as the first batch of young subject leaders in Jiangsu 333 Talent Project.

From December 2006 to December 2009, he was selected into the Supporting Plan for Excellent Talents in the New Century of the Ministry of Education.

In June 2002, he was selected as the training candidate of Qinglan Project in Jiangsu Province.

Since 2000, he has won one first prize (second in the ranking) and one second prize and two third prizes for Outstanding Academic Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Jiangsu Provincial Government.

 

Six academic works have been published. More than 150 papers have been published in Journal of Philosophical Research and Journal of Philosophical Dynamics. More than 10 of them have been reproduced by the full text of Xinhua Digest and more than 60 have been reproduced and abstract by magazines such as Copy Materials of Renmin University of China. "The Restoration of the Problem Domain of Chinese Bioethics" and other works won the third prize for Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education. "Western Ethical Spirit", "Philosophical Questions", "Educational Ethics" and other monographs won second and third prizes for outstanding achievements above the provincial level. In 2013, as the chief expert, he presided over the major topic of the National Social Science Foundation, "Moral Morphology of Bioethics".
