Learning and working experience:
He graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Anhui University in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Renmin University of China in 1991, and has received master's degree and doctor's degree in philosophy.
In 1998, he was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher in Beijing and was incorporated into the "Cross-Century Talents Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education.
From 1988 to 2003, he worked in the Department of Philosophy, Renmin University of China. He was successively a lecturer, an associate professor, a professor, a doctoral supervisor, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Teaching and Research, and the editor-in-chief of the China Renmin University Press.
In 2003, he was transferred to Beijing Normal University and became a professor and doctoral supervisor of Philosophy College. He has been the chief editor of BNU Press, the general manager of Publishing Group and the assistant principal.
He is also a member of the subject evaluation group of the State Council, the evaluation group of the National Social Science Foundation, the member of the Academic Department of the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, the chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee of Marxist theory specialty of the Ministry of Education, the vice-chairman of the Chinese Dialectical Materialism Society and the vice-chairman of the Chinese Society of Marxist Philosophy History.
In 2008, he was awarded the national leader in the press and publishing industry.
In 2009, he was awarded the title of outstanding publishing entrepreneur in China.
In 2010, he won the Chinese Publishing Government Award for Outstanding Publishers. Enjoy special allowances from the Government of the State Council.
In 2011, he was selected as the "Yangtze River Scholar".
In September 2012, he was appointed Vice President of Beijing Normal University.
More than 200 papers have been published in People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Chinese Social Sciences, Philosophical Research and Seeking Truth, His representative is "Re-understanding the Historical Form of Materialism and Its Revolutionary Change", "Five Major Issues in Current Marxist Research", "Five Major Issues in Current Human Problems Research", "Rethinking the Theme and Theoretical Characteristics of Marxist Philosophy Theory";He has Published 12 academic works, such as Defending Marx: A New Interpretation of Marxist Philosophy; Reconstruction in Crisis: Modern Interpretation of Materialist Historical View; Reflection in Reconstruction: Reunderstanding Historical Materialism; Oriental Rise: Philosophical Reflection on Chinese Modernization; etc. He has got eight national awards, such as the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Chinese Publishing Government Award for Excellent Persons Award, and the Taofen Publishing Award
Research areas:
He has been engaged in the teaching and research of Marxist philosophy and social development for a long time. Offering courses such as "Principles of Marxist Philosophy", "History of Marxist Philosophy", "Marxist Philosophy and Modern Times", "Philosophical Thematic Research" and "Contemporary Social Sciences Methods", and the projects "Marx's World History Theory and Its Contemporary Significance", "Philosophical Basis for Building Socialism with Chinese Characteristics", "Marxist philosophy with the current era"; presiding over the major social science projects in Beijing "Marxist philosophy at the turn of the century"; successively presiding over or participating in the preparation of the Ministry of Education's demonstration textbook of Marxist theoretical education, "Principles of Marxist Philosophy", recommending textbooks "Introduction to Deng Xiaoping Theory", and "Principles of Historical Materialism" of national achievements.
