Key managers of the international project center of York University visited the center and the school of philosophy

 

 

 

On November 13, 2018, Matt smile Webb, who is in charge of the international project center course of the University of York, UK, and Sarah leach, who is in charge of studying abroad, visited our center and the school of philosophy. Professor Wu Xiangdong, director of the center and President of the school of philosophy; Professor Guo Jiahong, researcher and vice president of the center; Associate Professor Tian Shufeng, researcher and assistant to the president of the center; and Ms. Tao Yuan, Secretary of foreign affairs, attended the talks.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Matt smile Webb briefly introduced the organizational structure, task division and global partners of the international project center of York University, expressed his wish to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with the school of philosophy, and hoped to promote the joint project of summer student exchange on philosophy theme. Vice President Guo Jiahong welcomed this. Associate Professor Tian Shufeng, assistant to the Dean, gave a brief introduction to the internationalization of the college and the University. Then, he had an in-depth exchange with Mr. smelt Webb and Ms. leach on the summer student exchange program proposed by York University. Both sides have reached an agreement on the specific curriculum arrangement and implementation plan of the revised project, and will jointly promote the signing of the agreement on the project. In addition, in order to establish a long-term cooperative relationship, the two sides reached a preliminary intention to sign a memorandum of cooperation at the Institute level.

 

York University is a top research university. It is a member of the World University Alliance, the N8 University Alliance, the white rose University Alliance and the European University Union (EUA). It has strong scientific research strength and ranks first in the teaching alliance with Cambridge University. The school has nine colleges and more than 30 departments, with major advantages of computer science, education, psychology, English education, music, architecture, etc., with more than 15000 students.
